Hammer joins Plant a Tree initiative

Storage distributor plans to provide donations as it drives to become more green

Storage distributor Hammer has joined the National Forest’s Plant a Tree campaign as part of an attempt to polish its green credentials.

The distributor is providing donations, as well as seeking them from customers when they make a technology purchase, to enable the annual planting of trees.
The announcement follows Hammer’s appointment of an in-house environmental advisor and is the first in a line of environmentally friendly initiatives from the distributor.

James Ward, managing director of Hammer, said: “There will be more environmentally friendly announcements from Hammer in future as it will continue to become greener.
“Through offering non-emission friendly products, Hammer’s partners are offered the opportunity to push the products that have a green advantage to them,” added Ward.

Sophie Churchill, chief executive of the National Forest, said: “It is encouraging that Hammer is one of a growing number of companies that is keen to work with the National Forest Company.”
