Amazon releases best of 2007 list

Amazon.com, today, released their "Best of 2007" list. It is comprised of the most bought, positively reviewed, wanted, and gifted in the past year. I'll go over the electronic-type stuff and if you want to see the best in clothes, books, and other things view the source.

Most bought in video games was, not surprisingly, the Nintendo Wii. Despite Nintendo's lagging production, it still outsold the PS3 and XBox 360. In electronics, the Canon Powershot A570IS was tops. Funny, shouldn't that section belong to iPods? Apparently not, as the 7.1 megapixel digital camera outsold every other electronic device. The software category went to Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007, not Vista or Leopard. The best selling computer was the Nokia Internet tablet PC.

The best-reviewed electronic device was the Garmin nuvi 350, a GPS. For computers, the MacBook Pro topped the list, and Leopard won for software. Wii won for video games again. In other categories, McCann's steel cut oatmeal was the most-loved grocery item on Amazon. I don't know who reviews oatmeal online, but apparently theirs is the best.

Now for most wanted. The iPod finally makes an appearance as the most wished-for electronic device. The 4gb Nano was the specific version. In computers, the ASUS eee PC was most wanted. Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 won for software, and the Wii won video games in the third division, making a new record.

The 4gb Nano was most wanted and most gifted in 2007, winning electronics. The regular old MacBook from Apple won computers, Photoshop Elements 6 won software, and somehow the Wii lost video games to Super Mario Galaxy.
